Local scenes and Coop’s sketchbook: an opportunity to view works from the Burton’s collection alongside preparatory drawings as well as works on loan from local collectors. All of which adds a fresh perspective to Coop’s importance to the region and a once in a 60-year opportunity to view and celebrate the Burton’s history.

The Journal reports that a year long project to create artwork from “environmental data” from the river Torridge is about to be launched. It is is called the “Confluence Digital Art Project” and will involve local community and school children. It is being run by the Beaford Arts and there are roadshow displays being held at Rosemoor and Instow.

Due to the success of the previous workshop we are thinking of running another Photography day to build on some of the skills learnt this month. We will be starting from basics once again so absolute beginners are welcome. For some of the more advanced users we will be dabbling in Photoshop!

There was and exhibition of emerging and leading British artists at the Burton until yesterday. Unfortunately it was not widely publicised so I missed it. If anyone viewed it can they let us know how they got on?
